About Jamila
Originally from North Carolina now in Los Angeles, Jamila is a creator and enjoys editing. As a teen, she was fond of the TV shows called Real World & Road Rules, the beginning of the reality TV era. With a steady camera hand, a single tape to use, and friends' she created her own "Confessions". Learning that a series of shots could tell a story through her eyes. Though this video no longer exists, it made her curious.
Beyond that, she began creating collages for fun of friends, a different way to share memories. After realizing her gifts, she took the time to study and grow her creative side. Starting in high school, she participated in journalism/yearbook, contributed to 2 published pages, followed by journalism and mass communications at North Carolina A&T State University.
